A kitten ends up on the streets of New York, as the only one who was not adopted. While trying to get some food at the local sausage vendor, he meets a dog named Dodger. He becomes a member of Dodger's stray dog gang, who live in a shabby warehouse, together with Fagin, a human bum. To make things worse, they owe money which they do not have, to loan shark Sykes. A fortuitous combination of circumstances leads to kitten ending up as a pet to a rich girl. She names him Oliver. Fagin is in temptation to use Oliver to get money... This animated film is inspired by Charles Dickens' novel – "Oliver Twist".
